He is survived by his wife, Nina Wilbur Pierson Segeske.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Elwood and Anna Segeske. Before retiring, he worked at the Schmidt Brewing Company, and was an owner/operator of his own business, called Uncle Ed’s Trucking.
Edward was a Navy veteran, having served from 1953 to 1956.
He was a member of the Nicholson Masonic Lodge 438, the Spring Hill Sheriff Department and the Avalon Association Group.
Edward is also survived by a daughter, Joan Schum; two grandchildren, Jim Schum and Shannon Schum; a great-grandson, Landen Schum; a brother, Robert Segeske and wife, Janet; a sister-in-law, Mickey Segeske Meister; a stepdaughter, Robin Kerr and husband, Robert; a stepson, Rollie Pierson and wife, Christine; and three stepgranddaughters.He was also preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Segeske; and a stepgrandson.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson, with services by the Rev. Ralph Christianson.
Interment will take place in Union Cemetery, Lathrop Twp.
The family will receive friends from 1 until service time.
