Keith was born October 26, 1931 in Nicholson, son of Bernard Hinkley and Elsie Moore Hinkley. He graduated from Nicholson High School in 1949 and served in the United States Air Force in during the Korean War.
Keith worked for many years at Bendix Corporation in South Montrose as a computer programmer and data systems manager. He loved everything about the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Keith is also survived by his son, Eric Hinkley, of Beach Lake and wife Tanya; daughter, Jill DeFelice, of Tuckerton, NJ and her husband, Michael; his grandchildren, Matthew DeFelice, Millville, NJ; Lauren Hinkley, Towson, MD; Paul DeFelice, Tuckerton, NJ; Eric J. Hinkley, Clarks Summit; Caden Hinkley, Beach Lake; step-grandchildren Janell, Jalenna, Jennson, and Justin Gibbs, Beach Lake; his sister, Jeanine Gable, Dalton, PA & Punta Gorda, FLA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shivprasad Nikam; Linda Bohan; the Geisinger physicians; and wonderful ICU nursing staff of Geisinger Medical at Wyoming Valley as well as the caring physicians and staff at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville.
Memorial services will be held at the Nicholson Presbyterian Church on Friday, August 23rd, at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the family home from noon until 3 p.m. following the service. There will be no viewing. Private interment will be held at a later date in Nicholson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
