Her husband of 62 years, Paul Erat, died March 7, 2007.
Born in New Milford, daughter of the late Martin and Anna Smith Chamberlin, she was a faith-filled member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Hop Bottom.
She loved the outdoors, her gardens, baking and cherished play time with great-grandson, Vincent.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Paulette Adams and husband, Lynn Hollis Adams, of Kingsley; two sisters, Etta Kelly, of Susquehanna; and Margaret Machinsky, of Missouri; two granddaughters, Brenda Adams Shertza, of Clifford Twp.; and Andrea Knouse and husband, Jack, of Nanticoke; a great-grandson, Vincent Hollis Shertza; and a foster daughter, Sandra Anicito, and her daughter, Jennifer, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Whitney and Doris Eastabrook.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, Hop Bottom, with services by the Rev. Murray Brindle. Interment will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Kingsley.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time.
