Born in Nicholson, he is the son of the late Nicholas and Bertha Bigar Sabucak.
He was a member of the Saint Patrick’s Church in Nicholson and prior to retiring, owned and operated Sabuacak Excavating.
Nicholas was an Army Veteran, a former Lathrop Township Supervisor, and a past Director of the Mountain View School Board. He was also a member of the Nicholson Masonic Lodge #438.
Nicholas is also survived by a son, Gary of Nicholson; two daughters, Cindy Luther and husband Harold of Dalton and Donna Carpenetti of Nicholson; one sister, Helen Rail of Meshoppen, and three grandchildren, Corey Luther and wife Brittany, and Nicholas and Kendra Sabuacak.
He was predeceased by a son in law, Richard Carpenetti, and a daughter in law, Karen Sabuacak; one brother and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10am in the Saint Patrick’s Church, High Street, Nicholson, celebrated by Father Thomas Petro.
Interment will be in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Starkville.
