Her husband, Fred, died in 1992.
Born in Gibson, she is the daughter of the late Grant and Arline Thomas Tompkins
She was a member of the Nicholson United Methodist Church and the Nicholson Women’s Club.
Helen is survived by one son, Douglas Crock of Saxonburg; a brother, Edgar Tompkins of Waldwick, N.J.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was also predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn Prendergast; a son, James; and a sister, Lida Tiffany.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Nicholson United Methodist Church celebrated by the Rev. John Shaffer.
A viewing will be held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State St., Nicholson.
