He is survived by his beloved wife Beverly Baker White. They were married May 21, 1953 and have been married 63 years.
Elwood was born May 9, 1932 in Wallsville, Pa. son of the late Chester and Edith Franklin White.
He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Elwood was a dairy farmer for 20 years and also worked for Jerry’s Sports Center.
His faith, family, and friends were very important to him. He loved well and lived well and also shared a witty sense of humor.
Elwood is also survived by two sons, Roger and Brian, both of Lenox Township; two daughters, Kathy (Mark) Clark of Lenox Township and Carol (John) George of Walton, NY.; a sister, Marjorie Thumann of Beach Lake; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Donald; a brother, Alfred; and four sisters, Mildred Miller, Lois Duvall, Bernice Turley, and Evelyn Miller.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 11am in the Kingsley Community Church in Kingsley with services by Pastor James Madas.
Interment will take place in the Tower Cemetery, West Lenox.
Viewing hours will be Monday from 5-8 in the Charles H. Litwin Funeral Home, 91 State Street, Nicholson and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the Kingsley Community Church.
