Bradley G. Wescott

Bradley G. Wescott, 70, of Nicholson died March 6 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

His wife is Sandra Williams Wescott, and they would have been married 40 years in July.

Born in Scranton on March 24, 1951, he is the son of the late Richard and Eva Kline Wescott. Brad was a Penn State graduate and owned and operated The Pinery florist in Nicholson for 41 years. He also was well known at the Scranton Farmers Market as a vendor for 35 years.

A special thank you goes to the doctors and nurses at the ICU Unit at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for the excellent care and attention given to Brad.

Brad is also survived by his mother-in-law, Ruth Williams; brothers-in-law, James Williams and Michael Turner; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Turner (Al) and Virginia Williams; and many cousins.

Brad was predeceased by a brother, Rick; an infant sister, Cynthia; and father-in-law, Lyman Williams.

Brad's wishes were not to have any services.

I’m so sorry to hear about Brad’s passing! I worked in the Pinery one summer and enjoyed learning how to care for plants from Brad. He was a good man with a green thumb! My condolences to Sandy.

Brad will be sorely missed by all. We were best of friends from early childhood in Dalton, through our college days and the year we spent working together in Colorado. He was one of the best and most caring friends anyone could hope to have. Rest in peace, Brad.

One of the old Lackawanna Trail / Penn State originals. We had some good times. Somewhere I have a picture of him going airborne on a motorcycle in our back pasture. Will miss you, good buddy.
